We Have a Wiener!

Hot date:

A US school teacher who won a date with a porn star in a radio contest has resigned.

Jaison Biagini, an art teacher at Monessen High School, near Pittsburgh, won a trip to Tampa after entering a contest sponsored by the Bubba the Love Sponge satellite radio show.

Wheelchair-bound Mr Biagini said he entered the contest for a chance to win a free trip, have fun and visit the Salvador Dali Museum in St. Petersburg.

He described the date as being "all fake and staged" and complained that the radio station portrayed him in an offensive manner and mocked his disability.

You listen to something called the "Bubba the Love Sponge Show" and you're surprised it was "all fake and staged"? Of course, everyone enters a contest to win a date with a porn chicklet so they can go to a Salvador Dali museum -- just like I play the lottery so I can become a Buddhist monk.

Sorry, Jaison... I'm afraid you're going to have to do better than that. Oh, and there's an eye stuck in your name. Might want to have a professional look at that.

Been to the Dali museum. Totally worth a having to go out with a porn star for tickets

Ok. Why did he quit his job? So distraught over being made fun of? Someone go over there and take his lunch money.

I've also been to the Dali museum and it was definitely worth checking out.

However, I can't say the same for the "Bubba the Love Sponge" show. I have caught this show a couple of times on the radio in the morning, and it actually made me consider the merits of censorship for a moment. (I recovered my sanity after changing the station.) The show is simply tasteless and amounts to little more than on-air porn with a thesaurus used to avoid the "7 naughty words" that the FCC doesn't allow. Imagine if Beavis and Butthead went into talk radio. While I have nothing against a little porn, I don't feel that morning radio is the time or place for it. I do not consider myself easily offended, but this show managed to do so in a matter of minutes. Anyone who listens regularly enough to win a contest couldn't possibly expect to be treated in anything other than an offensive manner.
