Flaming King

In the land of the limp-wristed, a lesbian is king:

Hood College is reviewing its homecoming rules after a lesbian was crowned king, a college official says.

Santo Provenzano, 21, who competed for king, said Jones' selection made the event seem like a joke. "It discourages guys from wanting to take part in the future," he said.

He's making the assumption that anybody takes homecoming seriously in the first place. Being crowned homecoming King is kind of like being appointed the Grand Vizier to the Star Kingdom of Beta Draconis, in that you hold sovereignty over exactly two people: Jack and Schitt.

Besides, maybe appointing a lesbian will put some... spine into the role.
