Dutch Half-Baked

A group of Dutch wacktivists decided they were going to take "the Football" from President Bush while he was visiting the Netherlands:

Dutch police arrested six activists on Sunday who said they wanted to enter President Bush's Netherlands hotel and look for the suitcase which allows him to activate nuclear weapons.

Hundreds of Dutch protesters rallied on Saturday in Amsterdam and Maastricht to protest against Bush who visited a U.S. military cemetery in the southern Netherlands on Sunday to pay tribute to the Americans who died in World War II.

Ah, yes... the Netherlands. The only country which actually surrendered to the Germans faster than Belgium did. In fact, they didn't even bother to surrender; that's because the entire Dutch government--if one can dignify it with such a term--bugged out to London before German troops had even crossed their border. I believe Dutch "resistance" to the German invasion lasted all of about 36 hours. At least King Leopold of Belgium had the decency to stick around and surrender in person.

Cowards. You don't even rate to grovel in abject apology to the President of the United States. Stay in your opium dens, or we'll let the Secret Service use you for moving target practice.

Most protesters don't have enough real info to even qualify them as reasonably informed. Many times they're spouting some set of phrases that resemble a cult chant of some kind. If you’re a fan of Monty Python you've probably heard something similar in the Holy Grail. I don't agree with everything Bush does, but I didn't agree with everything Clinton or Bush senior did either. I look at it from the standpoint of you can't please all the people all the time. If people are protesting Bush then at least it means he's making decisions. Sometimes even a bad decision is better than sitting on your hands waiting on oblivion.

Netherlands who has been too tolerant to intolerant people for far too long are upset with a Bush? What about the promoted violence by Islamic extremists in their midst.

Jart(egg)head, remeber Monty Python Marathon at Lalala's apartment? Oh the good ole days!
