Thursday Tunes

Unfortunately, EVE Online has been overrun by psychopaths and made nearly unplayable for anyone who is mentally and emotionally stable. But that doesn't change the fact that it was one of the most beautiful games ever put on a computer, and Jon Hallur's soundtrack is no exception. I'm one of those guys who usually turns off the music in a game and streams something else in the background. Never once in almost ten years of playing EVE was I tempted to do so. Hallur's music just screams "SPACE!" at you, enhancing the experience in much the way an awesome soundtrack makes a good movie into a great movie.

I can no longer in good conscience recommend the game to anyone who is sane, but that doesn't stop you listening to the soundtrack. Here is "Below the Asteroids," one of the more atmospheric pieces.
