Lost Art of the Cutaway

Illustrations like this used to fascinate me as a child. I had several books filled with cutaways of everything from cruise liners to high rise buildings. It's amazing what information you can glean just by observing the details in a quality cutaway. For example, in the illustration below we can see that living in a cramped space tube means there will be evil space trolls peering in through the portholes while you eat, work out, and play cards. Also, in space you throw two darts at once. Because it's space, man!
