Americans No More
Liberal Democrats are not Americans. By that I mean... well, exactly what I said: they aren't Americans. They're throwbacks to medieval peasants who delight in the idea of obeisance to their perceived betters.
You think I'm exaggerating to make some point? Nope. I'm being quite literal. So I'm off my rocker, am I? Ol' J.T. has finally gone off the deep end? You won't think so after you see this...

Now, I might have been able to give them the benefit of the doubt and they meant that we all are "PART" of government or participate in government, but after hearing the interviews of the delegates on the floor, I'm sure they are happy little drones towing the party line and buy into the benevolent dictator myth. ( The myth of that if the right caring person is given total power, America would be a better place) All bow to the great giver of life and all that you posses... Government.
JT has fits when one mentions this, but it's the fault of our educators indoctrinating young people with this message.
Goverment is good, governemnt is great. Government gives us our Rights. We owe our very lives to Government. Without our noble liberal Democrat benefactors, we'd be collecting filth from the side of the road, unskilled, unhealthy, hungry, and unable to fend off the evil white Republican overlords.
I keep looking for Obama to ride out upon stage saddled on a white horse.
Its worse than that...they want BAN PROFIT!

I don't disagree with you Fundy. My beef is that the problem did not originate with the schools; it's the fact that the politicians have taken over the schools, to include selecting curriculum and the hiring of teachers.
Essentially, the fox has eaten all the chickens and he's telling the farmer the chickens committed suicide. It's an enraging situation, the more so because I see it most often from conservative politicians who promise they are going to "fix" education by doing more of what ruined it to begin with.
The solution (the ONLY solution) is to return all control and finances to the local district level. That's what built great schools, and it will work again. That's because the local taxpayers get to say what is and is not taught. Anyone who disagrees can move to another district. As long as the politicians are in control of education and trying to homogenize it, public school quality will continue to worsen, regardless of which party is currently in office.
And no, vouchers are not the answer. That's just applying a band aid to a sucking chest wound: it's ignoring the core of the problem.
