World War two Vets

92-year-old Verona man shoots intruder at home

Apparently the 24 year old moving baker target and his buddies thought it would be a good idea to rob a 92 year old Army vet. He showed them the error of their ways.

Some 15 minutes later, when he heard footsteps moving closer up the stairs, he raised the rifle to his eye. The intruder kicked open the door. Jones fixed his aim on the center of the man’s chest and fired a single shot. The Boone County Sheriff later announced the death of the intruder, Lloyd (Adam) Maxwell, 24, of Richmond, Ky.

What this marksman said after rifle qualification;

In Earl Jones’ mind,(and mine) his actions are justified, as well. He said he was completely within his rights to defend his life and ranch home on the 500-acre farm he has worked since 1955.

“I was hoping another one would come up – I aimed right for his heart,” Jones, who served in the U.S. Army Air Forces from 1941 through ’46, told the Enquirer Monday afternoon. “I didn’t go to war for nothing. I have the right to carry a gun. That’s what I told the police this morning.”

Ol' chuck would like to thank Mr Jones for helping him thin the herd in this situation.

Breathe, relax, aim, stop breathing... squeeze.

Dead thug.

Good shot, Earl. I particularly love that he was hoping the other one would come up the stairs so he could shoot that one as well.

It's refreshing to hear there are still men like Earl out there. I'm sick to death of this liberal horseshit about "every human life has value" and "killing is always wrong." Crap, I say. A dead thief is a benefit to society, not a loss.
