Mormon kids make lousy criminals:

Police say a caucasian male teenager brought some items to the counter at Maverik store on 2680 South 2000 East **.

As the clerk was ringing up the items, police say the suspect slipped behind the counter and attempted to sneak up behind the clerk and hold the knife to his neck.

According to police, the clerk sensed the approach of the suspect and turned toward him with his hands in the air, and one of the clerk’s hands hit the suspect in the face, dropping the suspect to the ground lying on his back.

Police say the clerk described the suspect's weapon as a kitchen knife, and that the suspect said: “don’t call the cops, I will pay,” and “don’t tell my mom.”

Maybe his momma gave him a spanking when he got home.
