U.N.-fit for Existence XVIII

I believe it's time to revive the old U.N.-fit for Existence series, which has been languishing for nearly a year as I made a concerted effort to ignore the three-ring circus called the United Nations. This one's just too choice to pass up, though. Here's the latest mental vomit from the biggest waste of money in human history:

Shun meat, says UN climate chief.

People should consider eating less meat as a way of combating global warming, says the UN's top climate scientist.

Or we could just shun the U.N., which strikes me as easier, more logical, and eminently more enjoyable.

In the article it mentions that Pachauri will be speaking at a function organized by "Compassion in world farming" and they freely admit that the main reason for asking people to eat less is to lower the number of animals in farms. The spokesman for this group is Joyce D'Sylva, a professed Vegan and animal rights activist. A quote from a recent interview with Ms. D'Silva, you can tell it was a staged interview by the leading question:
It’s interesting, because animal sentience just seems so obvious, and yet there is so much horrific exploitation.
I know! To you and me, we’ve kind of known it for years. It’s the trouble with science. One of the themes of our Darwin to Dawkins conference—addressed by scientists not just ethicists—was that while we are still a bit in the dark about animal cognition and consciousness, even if we don’t know all the answers, we should be acting as if the animals are sentient. And scientists were saying that science doesn’t have all the answers and we should go to things like common sense and compassion—strange words that scientists [usually] get a bit scared around. [Laughs.]

Again, a person who wants to tell you how to live your life and what you can and cannot eat. I truely don't understand why so many people, and especially liberals, want to tell you how you can live. Fucking Communists

Because they're smarter than everybody else; just ask them.

Oh, they make non-confrontational mouth noises about absolute equality, but deep down in their little bleeding hearts, they truly believe that they are smarter than anyone who disagrees with them.

It's a very common malady among humans, but most of us grow out of it by the time we're out of college and start dealing with reality. No only do liberals fail to outgrow that particular conceit, they actually turn it into a neurosis.
