Thank you Barry Bonds
LinkA little girl in Texas wrote an essay saying her dad died in Iraq to get Hannah Montanna tickets. I think this statement by her mother sums up the new attitude by alot of people.
We did the essay and that's what we did to win. We did whatever we could do to win," Ceballos said in an interview Friday with KDFW-TV of Dallas. "But when (Caulfield) asked me if this essay is true, I said `No, this essay is not true.'"
(Soapbox) Now Im all for winning when I can, but I think the whole cheating issue is getting out of hand. The new attitude seams to be that its ok to cheat as long as you dont get caught and no one else gets "hurt". Students stealing exams, or cheating on tests, Pro-players using steroids, politicians, illegals, the list goes on. Yea, winning is fun and everyone loves a winner, but what are we losing when we cheat to do it? (soapbox put away)

1st century Romans would have understood the modern United States perfectly: an irretrievably corrupt political system, hedonism run rampant, and an endemic "me-first" attitude.
I'm just wondering when Nero and Caligula are going to show up.
Oh... Right.
