Anti-Privacy Pancakes

Identify!

John Russo has been a victim of identity theft. So when he was asked to fork over a photo ID just to be seated at an IHOP pancake restaurant, he flipped. "'You want my license? I'm going for pancakes, I'm not buying the Hope diamond,' and they refused to seat us," Russo said, recounting his experience this week at the Quincy IHOP.

Russo said a security guard at the restaurant had "at least 40" licenses in hand when he arrived to eat.

I find it highly discouraging that "at least 40" people had been stupid enough to hand over their licenses to a rent-a-cop, just so they could eat third-rate slop at a greasy spoon. I'm not sure what's happened to the country I grew up in, but if anyone sees it, please help it across the street so it doesn't get plowed down in traffic.

Love the expression on the clerks face at checkout counter when they asked for my phone number, I just politely tell them that it is not apart of my purchase. “But sir we can not complete the purchase if I do not have your phone number”, at which time I will just walkout of the store. People have become so acclimated to handing over personal information they view a person like me as bucking the system, like that is anything new.
And when was the last time you placed an order or purchased anything of the net and they asked for your phone number?
