A Life of Privilege

Reading this turned Mr. Hand into Mr. Fist really quickly:

The University of Washington's student senate rejected a memorial for alumnus Gregory "Pappy" Boyington of "Black Sheep Squadron" fame amid concerns a military hero who shot down enemy planes was not the right kind of person to represent the school.

Student senator Jill Edwards said she "didn't believe a member of the Marine Corps was an example of the sort of person UW wanted to produce."

Sorry, but I'm unable to comment at this time. My blood pressure has shot up so high, I can barely see the screen. Y'all just use your imaginations.

Wow,
This guy was awarded the Medal of Honor and the Navy Cross, led the famous Black Sheep Squadron and spent time as a Japanese POW. Those dudes @ UW have some insanely high standards.
Welp Go Gators and ANYBODY playing the Husky’s!

I live in the PNW and this does not suprise me, they are competing with San Francisco and trying to win the one-upmanship of stupidity award! I believe this takes it!

So a highly decorated member of THE elite fighting force in the world in not an example of a person UW wanted to produce? WTF! I am with you Jarhead, I am so pissed that I can not think straight, but I will guarantee that none of my kids go to that frickin cesspool university.
