Green NIMBY

As a general rule, I try to avoid global warming articles. The entire movement is nothing more than a huge ignorance scam, bearing identical hallmarks to the "we're all gonna starve" and "we're all gonna freeze to death" movements of the sixties and seventies. There are, however, occasional exceptions.

This article, for instance, is an excellent illustration of the sort of egotisical, delusional, pitiable excuses for humans who are at the forefront of the modern environmentalist movement. They stick by their principles--right up to the point that their principles become a minor inconvenience.

For the record, I agree with Mr. Lovelock about nuclear power; it is the cleanest and most efficient source of power humanity currently possesses. It's just that I find his bald duplicity in the entire matter extremely distasteful. Well, that and the self-evident fact that he's a complete loon.
