Return Of The Dutch

The Dutch have been flying low and staying off the Silly Radar for a few weeks, but I was sure they'd pop up again eventually. This time they mixed in a few animal rights nutcases for good effect. Ah, Holland... It just wouldn't be as silly a world without you.

According to CNN they where setting up 4,321,000 blocks

Around 200,000 dominoes were left to go, and the bird knocked down 23,000 of them

So out of their estimated setup of 4,121,000 only 23,000 fell down as designed. That’s like a %005 success rate?? That even sucks for Base Ball.

I love animal rights nuts...

"I think they were awfully fast to pull out a rifle," [agency spokesman Niels Dorland] said. "If a person started knocking over a few dominoes they wouldn't shoot him would they?"

Well, considering that it was an air rifle, I sure as hell would! In fact, I highly recommend that they go ahead and shoot the morons at the Dutch animal protection agency who are wasting everyone's time with this crap.

Hans Peeters, director of the Netherlands Bird Protection agency, called the killing "ridiculous."

Its not quite as ridiculous as putting a sparrow's life on equal footing as a person, now is it?

"There were more than 2 million breeding pairs in the Netherlands 20 years ago," he said. "Now there's a half a million to a million at most. We hope this can be a call to action."

You heard him, its a call to action! 499,999 more sparrows to go! Anyway, since when are "common house sparrows" endangered? I wonder how many breeding pairs of these animal rights morons are left?

My favorite was how the bird was described:
The bird was a common house sparrow -- a species placed on the national endangered list last year.

You think a spot on the all-mighty National Endangered List would warrant the removal “Common” in the name, but hey I’m American not Dutch. These guys are so easy to pick on, you think they where French.
