Sometime along about 1982, I entered into a high score contest for the Intellivision game Astrosmash. In order to submit my entry, I had to take a Polaroid of the television screen with my score on it, cut the entry form out of a magazine, then fill it out by hand and send both items via snail mail to the company sponsoring the contest, (only defense contractors, NASA, and the military had access to email at that point in history). I didn't win, of course; even back then there were 40-something neckbeards living in their mom's basement who did nothing but play video games all day. Some things never change.
