‘Babylon 5’ Reboot in Development at The CW From Original Series Creator J. Michael Straczynski
I am skeptical but will reserve judgement. Having the original producer in control is a good sign, but I always get nervous when somebody "reboots" a classic, and Babylon 5 is among my favorite television shows of all time. I don't see how he could make it better than he already has, especially with a cast of what will probably be nobodies. Of course, Jerry Doyle and Mira Furlan (may they rest in peace) were both nobodies before Babylon 5, so who knows. I was wrong about the Battlestar Galactica reboot, which turned out to be far better than the original show. Perhaps this will turn out alright, too.
