Classic Conversions

A 280Z in British Racing Green with an electric motor? Yes, please! I'm at the age where I've lost all desire to tinker with cranky carbuerators, leaky gaskets, and plugs that foul out every 10,000 miles. An EV conversion of a classic sports car would be heavenly.

I can already hear the self-styled purists out there howling about "defacing" a classic vehicle. Those are usually the suckers who pay $80,000 for a rolling pile of Mopar garbage from the early '70s and who've never had to work on it, but can instead afford to pay someone else to maintain it. The constant maintenance becomes such a chore that you no longer want to drive it for fear of what will go wrong this time. I like driving, not cussing a blue streak as I bark my knuckles yet again while trying to get a fifty year-old bolt to turn loose.
