It turns out that Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse, D-R.I., has called for the criminal investigation of people and organizations who are seen as global warming deniers. This would include lawsuits against the coal and oil industries, certain think tanks, and other organizations that question the global warming religion.

Do you know what the scariest thing on the planet is? It isn't Global Warming, i meant climate change, It isn't even Nuclear war, it's a Bureaurcrat with an ax to grind. Pair them with politicians who will see it as a way to raise revenue without raising taxes and you get the Tobacco settlement. Never underestimate the the havoc than can be wrought by someone with the full weight and power of the state and federal government behind them and 40 hours a week to kill.
