Corrupted

The Corruption of Science. It's a good article, but I want to focus on one quote from it:

President Eisenhower’s farewell address [warned] that a scientific-technological elite dependent on government money would exert undue influence on government policy. Scientific advice to policy makers has become heavily influenced by political agendas and rewards to organizations and scientists that provide the necessary scientific support for political objectives.

Eisenhower was a very smart man. He knew exactly where the country was going to end up in fifty years if we continued to follow FDR's policies, and he was absolutely correct... unfortunately.

The Republic is dead. We're not going to conjure it from the grave by voting for professional politicians in rigged elections. What we should be doing now is finding the most efficient and survivable manner in which to implement Empire. Playing foreign policy patty-cake with Muslims and sending combat troops to plague-infested shitholes is not how you do that -- unless you're planning on having those troops kill all of the infected, which is how the Romans handled it. "Infected" applies in both cases, by the way: the virus and the religion.

If that sounds harsh, you need to wake up and smell the reality before it kicks you in the head.
