Unfit

We are being overrun by pussies:

The U.S. military estimates that roughly two thirds of today's youth are ineligible to serve due to a variety of physical, behavioral, and educational issues.

[About] a quarter of high school graduates cannot pass the Armed Forces Qualification Test, meaning that they lack even basic mathematics and reading skills needed to join the military. A recruit scoring below the tenth percentile on the AFQT is "generally" not permitted to join the military.

It's crazy to think that roughly one out of four students is unable to score high enough on a test with a pretty generous curve.

"Generous curve" is putting it mildly. I scored in the top one percentile and I wasn't even trying very hard. It's one of the easiest aptitude tests in the world, yet 25% of our youth can't even score well enough on it to qualify for janitorial duties.

The question becomes this: is the country worth defending when two thirds of its young men are unqualified -- or worse, unwilling -- to defend it?
