Crawfishing

When Republicans are incoherent on issues, they're deceitful liars who hate bunny rabbits and roast children alive.

When Democrats are incoherent on issues, they have "evolved their position."

I don't care about Hillary's position on gay marriage, because I don't give single half-baked damn about the entire issue. It's none of the federal government's business: establish the borders, regulate trade, provide for the common defense. Explain to me precisely from where in that short list of responsibilities the federal government derives power to decide who marries who? I'll help you out: it doesn't. And that means that by definition the responsibility automatically drops to the Tenth Amendment to the Constitution.

What I do care very much about, however, is the fact that the press falls over themselves to cover Mrs Clinton every time she steps on her... foot. Which is about once a week at this point. It's disgusting, it's unworthy of the fourth estate, and it's monumentally unhealthy for the country. You're the WATCHDOGS, not the lapdogs. Start acting like it.

Until the the national income tax is eliminated or seriously restructured it IS the Feds concern on who marries who. Eliminate spousal deductions (either straight or whatever) and you'll see the number of "marriages" go drastically lower. While I am pissing people off, get rid of deductions for kids too. Why should people get deductions for breeding or adopting a third world country...

I agree with your income tax premise, I supported Herman Cain in the 2012 primaries for that specific reason, but I don’t think spousal deductions are a big deal to a government who sell bonds to themselves. Maybe one day we will get a government who will restructure the income tax and restore all our entitled freedoms, including marrying whomever. Realistically however, I’m just hoping for another 30-50 years of somewhat stability before I take my dirt nap.
