Authorities Look For Couple Living Lavish Lifestyle On Food Stamps

So, what were they doing to catch the eye of the authorities?

MIAMI (CBSMiami) — Authorities said the couple got $167,000 in welfare from the state of Minnesota while living in Palm Beach on a $1.2 million yacht.

How long did it take for them to figure out that this couple was scamming the system?

The couples alleged scam ran from January 2005 to March 2012. At times they were allegedly collecting welfare benefits in both Florida and Minnesota, at the same time.

Seven Years.Good thing they were focusing on catching people abusing the system.I would shudder to think how long they could have lived on the dole if they weren't
