Warp Factor One

There's a mad scientist in the basement at Johnson Space Center working on creating a functional warp drive. And if that's not crazy enough, he's also developed a functional prototype for something called a quantum vacuum plasma thruster: it "uses quantum fluctuations in empty space as fuel." Well, the brightest and the nuttiest are sometimes one-and-the-same...

Nevermind all the warnings that ship's engineers are always giving their captains about opening a warp bubble in the atmosphere or too close to a planet...this guy wants to open one in the basement at JSC!

So I guess when building 8 disappears with a loud *FOOM* we'll know it worked. :)

With very few exceptions, I can't imagine a bad outcome from portions of JSC winking out of existence.
