Older than you think

Turns out, life is older than the Earth. Which was damned inconvenient, I'm sure. Can you imagine trying to erect a tent in zero gravity? Ugh.

To be fair, this "hypothesis" is nothing but a thread-bare extrapolation of Moore's Law, reverse engineered and shoe-horned into a biological context. As such, it hardly qualifies at all. But it'd make great fodder for a sci-fi novel.
