No bang for my buck

Ok, it has been awhile since I have had to buy ammunition for any type of gun. I have had plenty for quite stocked for target practice and the stray wandering zombie, but I wanted a 9mm for the house and did not have any ammo for that caliber. I go out and get the gun(the Bursa BP9cc) and go to buy ammo. The store says they only have two kinds and I can only buy 5 boxes at a time so that they can provide for other customers. I'm like, fine, I will just go get some other places later. I make the rounds( get it? get it Ok that was bad) and all the usual suspects' shelves are as barren and empty as a Politicians head.

Now, I can understand some sheep's need to go out and buy guns before they get "Banned" ( like they guy at Gander Mountain standing beside me at the gun counter who said, and I quote I'm ready for if NATO or the French come to try and take my guns, the French?!?!???) Two things, one, as I have said before, The majority of gun owners are current or former military, and cops. Do you really think the people who are tasked with enforcing the law and protecting us are going to freely give up their guns? Second, there are to many Republicans and blue dog Democrats who rely on us Gun Totin Hillbillies to get elected, so no serious gun control is going to pass right now(Big Barry missed his chance when he had majority in both houses).

The real problem with the gun control crowd is they try and pass off their "for the children" and "if you don't like gun control, then you must love dead kids and murderers" as political discourse. The good thing is I think the masses have stopped watching Dancing With The Stars long enough to realize that their end game is full confiscation of weapons, and are not going to allow that to happen.

What has been the underlying thing about all the latest shooters? They are all bat-shit crazy. Now the gun control nuts will pay lip service and say that background checks will do mental health checks, but the problem is HIPA will not allow mental health checks. So you cannot check mental health records to see if someone has been committed in the past or is under psychiatric care. So unless a person has been committed to a mental facility by a judge, they can buy guns. That means if they are paranoid schizophrenic, or have been committed by family for violence, or they see space men coming through the walls, but haven't seen a judge, give that man a weapon and let him walk around the streets.

Until that is fixed, expect more mass shootings and more pushes for gun confiscation

Forgot my original thought. Where the hell is all the ammo?

Justice Department has much of it. They have been buying tons of it, and armored vehicles.
You are correct, though, about HIPPA, as it currently stands. Expect it to be amended for "Law Enforcement" purposes. The idea is to ban guns from the crazies, then declare everyone with a gun or who wants a gun to be crazy. Simple, and we did it to ourselves by allowing Congress to provide for our safety. Clearly a conflict of interest.
