Postcard from Dear Old Blighty

Just dropping in to say howdy from across the pond. Ended up going back to London for meetings and decided to bring the MadAngel and extend it for a two weeks vacation this time. Luck has held out so far as the weather has been pretty good, if cold. The picture above is from the side of our hotel on the south bank of the Thames. Some great views here...the odd jamming together of sparkling new, antique old and amazingly ancient. Also surprising and subtle differences between daily life in the US vs the UK. We both agreed a 6-12 month expat posting here would be quickly accepted, but longterm relocation would be too much. We've also agreed a return vacation trip during a warmer season is very much in order.

So please look after things in the US while we are away. Don't go letting them move the States around, changing the money or switching to Communism; and no inviting Canada or South America over for a party and trashing the place. You know how California gets when it's been drinking, we'll find it face down in the garden in it's own vomit...again.

Cheers for now...

I think that's where we left California, wasn't it? No point cleaning it up when it'll just be right back there tomorrow evening.

Nice pic. Minus the modern boats, you might think you're in the 17th century. Except the smell is better. Probably.
