CHAMP

Boeing has built themselves (and the Air Force) an EMP missile called CHAMP -- a rather tortured pseudo-acronym for "Counter-electronics High-powered Microwave Advanced Missile Project." It was successfully tested at Kirtland AFB earlier this year.

As for the name... All I can say is the DoD really needs to get themselves a new acronymonizer. (Hey, if they can pass that drivel off as a legit acronym, I can make up words, right?)
