Patently Stupid

When you see that headline here, it's almost certain to be about Apple. This time is no exception.

First, Apple patented the rectangle, (but the U.S. Patent system is "working as intended", thank you very much), and now they are using that spurious patent to beat competitors over the head. Basically, they got HTC to agree to pay them several bucks for every Android device sold. They next went to Samsung to try to the same tactic. Samsung's response: "FOAD."

When large Italian men in expensive suits do this to small businessmen, it's called an extortion racket. I submit that it's time the Feds look into prosecuting Apple under RICO.

Al Gore is on the Apple board. This is an indication of the political party they are protected by. Apple will get away with what they are doing until a national governance change. I do my best not to buy Apple products.
