No Truer Words

"There is no monopoly on becoming a millionaire," she writes. "If you're jealous of those with more money, don't just sit there and complain. Do something to make more money yourself - spend less time drinking, or smoking and socializing and more time working."

We all have seen the Paris Hilton's who inherited money from the ones who actually made the millions, and in my opinion all the shows showing them (My super sweet sixteen, any show with Paris or any of the other vapid waste of airwaves) are meant to do one thing and that is to show the "average" person that "life isn't fair and that the rich didn't earn their money but got it by luck of birth and don't deserve it". Forget the thousands who work nights, weekends, holidays and sacrifice family and health to make money or run a private business. There isn't a single one of the dozens who read this blog that probably haven't had an idea or business plan that could have made us rich, but we were either too scared to take the risk, or didn't want to give up our weekend golf game or night watching Wheel of Fortune. The rich are rich because their leisure activity is work. Think about that the next time you are out on your deck sipping a cold one, you could be at work instead.
