Neck Wringin'

I love it when a leftist plan backfires. This quote from John Lucas of Tennessee pretty much sums it up:

"[T]he people who buck the traffic jams...just to stand in line for 30 minutes to get a chicken sandwich are people who are going to vote in November. The Democrats will attack or ignore them; the Republicans ignore them at their peril.”

There is one trait that defines Americans above all others: we do not like bullies. The lines around Chick-Fil-A restaurants across the country yesterday proved it.

I don't care one bit about gay marriage; the states should be allowed to enact it or forbid it as they see fit. It has no impact on the course of my existence. But the militant, look-at-me-I'm-special minority component among homosexuals irritates me like a rock in my shoe. Anything which wipes those smug smirks from their faces is a good thing.

For the record, I detest Chick-Fil-A. Their food is horrible. Dry chicken on dry bread? For that price? Really? No thanks.

It has been interesting to watch as gays have become the thugs politically, legally, and/or culturally, which ever fits best. Anyone in the public eye at all best not express a difference of opinion with them, or they are attacked from all of the above angles. It's amazing how a person can be labeled as discriminatory (therefore, by connotation, equivalent of a racist) just because they don't hold an opinion that gay's approve. This country has determined that a person should not be discriminated against due to their race, religion, or gender. I put the gay group in with the religious group as both are based upon beliefs and points of view of the mind. While religions have been debating who is right, or most right, in this country since its formation, the gays apparently can't handle disagreement in a similar fashion, so they take to being bullies and thugs. They may as well be muslim's or old time catholics, of course, they may find friends at many catholic churches. The power gays have, given they are truly a small but well funded minority, is a symptom and product of a successful business and economic environment and the associated expansion of human interest outside of the basic needs. As this country collapses as an economic and military power, which is well underway, the gays will see the return of intolerance and ultimately be forced back into the closet. It is what happens to small and offensive minorities when the majority gets hungry and back to the basic survival needs. Enjoy the power while you have it and remember, the more you bully now, the more you likely suffer later. On a tangent, am I the only person that believes that billions of funding for cancer, heart disease, and other serious diseases was diverted to aids research when aids never killed remotely the same number of people as these other diseases, but was mostly focused in the small gay community that of course did a fabulous job of marketing how it would impact everyone. They must have been jumping for joy when Magic Johnson tested hiv positive. Of course most people don't sleep with thousands of women in their first 25 or 30 years. I wonder how many more people would still be alive today if that money had gone where it should have gone.

There was another link on the web site you sent that was of photos from all over the U.S. from various Chik-fil-a's. What it shows and what I always knew, that going back to the founding of this country, Americans are a very tolerant people, but the only people we can not stand is a bully. Wether kicking out a bully king, a bully Hitler, or a bully political group, we will not be pushed around and told what to do.
