Midlife Crisis resolved

As you may know, many of the posters to this blog are reaching the age where we will make a purchase or do an activity that we should probably not, in an attempt to make us feel younger than our actual age. Mine was this....


1965 mustang 289 v-8. No regrets.

sweet. I had a 66 but it didn't have near as nice paint as that. It looked like a beater but had a Shelby 289. Broke my heart when it was stolen.

I think the 289 may be the best stock sportscar engine ever built, (as far as streetable engines go, anyway). The 281 V-8 in my '06 Mustang can trace its origins directly to the 289.

Enjoy the ride. I assume you've already found a secure place to keep the keys away from the kids. =oP

She has gone a major restoration. Replaced all wiring, alt, starter, distributor, and completlely redid the interior.( all back to original). The seats come back from the upholsterer next Friday. After that, she be ready to roll!
