TI-1200

This was my first calculating device -- other than my toes, of course. She was a trusty old gal. Even after weathering multiple drops onto surfaces ranging from bicycle-churned mud to hot pavement, she still fired up without fail to help me cheat on my homework. The faceplate must have fallen off and been re-glued a dozen times; I eventually gave up and painted the numbers and symbols onto the bare plastic with White-Out. They just don't make 'em like that anymore... Think I've got something in my eye...

Click on the old warhorse to find your first LED lovely.

(Okay, this post has pretty much pegged out the geekometer for the day, so I'm gonna quit now)

I had the TI-30. Of course it didn't work when I got it. It was my first successful electronic repair. A diode was shorted out. I removed it and it worked great for many years. Not sure what the purpose of the diode was but must not have been all that important. I'm just sayin.
