Oh Deer...

Powerless:

About 10,000 Juneau residents briefly lost power after a bald eagle lugging a deer head crashed into transmission lines.

The bird, weighed down by the deer head, apparently failed to clear the lines...

Was that an African or a European eagle?

Must have been a European eagle as the African eagle would not have had trouble clearing the lines. It might have been an African eagle if it had been a moose head or a complete deer. Are they sure it was just a deer head?

(The next comment is to keep with my mood and general theme of silliness for today.)

Perhaps the deer was attacked by a ferocious rabbit. The sudden addition of the rabbits weight caused the eagle to drop to low where he did snuff it. The rabbit then ate the deer body and left.

(I found no place to fit any more moose references in. Sorry sorry. I will try harder on the next comment.)
