Doomed

Behind the cartoon you'll find a variety of press excerpts compiled by the artists. The excerpts quite clearly show the panic into which the warmies have recently been thrown, as they see more and more people scratch their heads over the idea of anthropogenic global warming and say, "Wait just a minute, now..."

From the IPCC to Al Gore and his pack of well-trained pseudoscience monkeys -- with veteran misanthrope Bill Moyers playing the role of head gorilla -- they're all beginning to sense that the decades-long gravy train is approaching the edge of a cliff.

And then there's David Roberts.

Grist Magazine’s staff writer David Roberts called for the Nuremberg-style trials for the "bastards" who were members of what he termed the global warming "denial industry."

Roberts wrote in the online publication on September 19, 2006, "When we've finally gotten serious about global warming, when the impacts are really hitting us and we're in a full worldwide scramble to minimize the damage, we should have war crimes trials for these bastards -- some sort of climate Nuremberg."

The stripping away of a cherished delusion will often evoke hostility and fear in the emotionally unstable; so with Roberts. But comparing scientific dissenters to the most heinous war criminals and mass-murderers who ever walked the Earth is bordering on psychosis. I would suggest to Mr. Roberts that he needs to seek professional help.
