Still Red, Not Quite Dead

Unfortunately, Fidel Castro appears to have survived major surgery. Damn the luck.

Castro, 79, acknowledged the operation was serious, saying "I cannot make up positive news."

Since positive news of that sort can only take the form of your obituary, you won't have to make up anything. Just do it.

Don't give up hope yet. Remember the way it works with these Soviet era leaders. All bets are off until you actually see them alive and waving at the May Day Parade.

And if he see his shadow...that's 5 more years of Communist Dictatorship.
