DiamondVision

Great news, dear!

Diamonds are no longer a girl's best friend, according to a new U.S. study that found three of four women would prefer a new plasma TV to a diamond necklace.

Maybe I'll get my wife one of those new 100-inch televisions for her birthday. Coincidentally, that's not much longer than a coffin--which is where I'd end up were I to pull such an idiotic stunt.

I don't suppose the fact that the "study" was commissioned by a cable television station had any influence on the matter...
