Senatorial Senility

While I wouldn't normally link to a propaganda rag like the WaPo, this was just too good to pass up:

Sen. Edward M. Kennedy (D-Mass.), hosting a morning roundtable with reporters, had nothing nice to say about Alito. "We here in the United States are not going to stand for monarchial tyranny," he said, protesting Alito's support for "unfettered, unlimited power of the executive." He faulted Alito for belonging to a group that was "anti-black and also anti-women." Kennedy wondered if "the average person is going to be able to get a fair shake" under Alito.

Looks like the old weasel has finally fallen completely off his rocker. It seems that after sixty years of drunkeness and lechery, the only virtue he has left is self-parody. But he's not finished:

"This nominee was influenced by the Goldwater presidency,"

Whaaa?!

That's it; he's past it. Stick him in a nursing home and feed him bourbon until he mummifies. All those dead Kennedys, yet this creature is still alive.

He’s redeeming himself by writing a children’s book. The ironic part is the protagonist is a dog named “Splash”.

Hey Teddy, we, had to sit and listen to you as rambled on like a mad man. The least you could do is stay until the session ends. I realize happy hour ends at 6:30, but come on man!
