Carmen Canned

The director of a planned remake of "Carmen" is convinced that Hollywood won't fund his film because nobody wants to see Jennifer Lopez, playing the title role, die at the end of the film.

He's right, of course. I was thinking somewhere between the ticket booth and the opening credits.
