really interesting to see america and americans in the times before television and the internet. People actually socialized together? Preposterous.
Michelle-- Wow! this should be recommended viewing for my students. It's hard to believe that most of this took place only 60-65 years ago; people were still driving horse-drawn buggies, women and men looking haggard and hard working. Do people even know the meaning of hard work any more? My God--the difficulty of these people's lives is written in wrinkles all over thier faces. I am almost ashamed--but strangly glad to live in the times that we do. It really puts the whiners and complainers into perspective; doesn't it?
