Keystone Bobbies

Felony crime continues to run rampant across the entire country of Great Britain. Fortunately, the British justice system doggedly tracks down and prosecutes the really mean and viscious criminals--like little boys dropping apple cores.

‘A council spokeswoman said: "There are no exclusions to what is considered litter, there is no warning system in place and a programme has been set up in secondary schools to educate children that there are no exemptions from the zero tolerance campaign.’

This is exactly the problem. Zero tolerance systems don't work. They never have and they never will.

What's worse in this incident is that it wasn't even littering. People drop things, it happens. It's only littering if you did it on purpose and didn't pick it up before leaving the area.

It sounds like the British Police need to be locked up for impersonating public servants.

er.. isn't an apple biodegradable anyway? What's next, arresting trees? Citizens aren't safe in their own home or places of business, but hey, at least there is less litter!

Ridiculous.
