How To Create An Associative Disorder

Those wacky Austrians are at it again:

Children at playschool in Austria are having their toys taken away in the belief it will help them fight drug addiction and alcoholism later in life.

Well, sure... Obvious, isn't it? I mean, the connection here is plain as day, right? What's that you say? You're confused? Well, perhaps Ms. Renate Brauner, the Vienna health councillor who apparently dreamed the whole thing up, can clarify it for you:

"Pilot tests have shown that taking away children's toys encourages them to think more about how to entertain themselves. They become more social and even those on the outside of the group find a positive role," she said.

Anyone want to take bets Ms. Brauner was neglected by her daddy when she was young? Freud would've had a field day with this chick.

Unfortunately, all these kids involved in this campaign will, for the rest of their lives, associate alcohol and drugs with toys. Good job, Ms. Brauner! What's next; take away their candy bars and tell them it'll keep them from becoming rapists?

Some people are just too stupid to be allowed out in public.
