Racing for Real Men

Daytona Beach & Road Course, 1957.  130mph wheel-to-wheel racing in stock family sedans, on a track that's half beach and half two-lane blacktop.  This track killed drivers in '54 and '55 before the modern Daytona Speedway was finally completed in 1959.  If anyone suggested this today the NASCAR safety nazis would faint dead away.
