Ignoring for the moment the fact that it is one of the single dumbest sentences you are ever likely to read, let's have a look inside the article. Reading down, we find this:

Prof. Knight said: "Statistical analysis of the survey results suggested that, overall, dogs on conventional diets were less healthy than dogs on raw meat or vegan diets. Dogs on raw meat diets appeared to be healthier than those on vegan diets."

The article then begins winding through some torturous strawman logic to explain why the results of the survey aren't really the results of the survey. Then they provide a list of suggested foods for your dog:

Carrots, broccoli, and other veggies
Rice
Quinoa
Lentils
Certain types of beans (but keep in mind, for most dogs, beans = flatulence)
Dark, leafy greens like spinach and kale

Humans are omnivores; canines are carnivores. That's something you should have been taught around about the third grade. Forcing your dog to eat foods that its digestive tract is not evolutionarily equipped to handle falls under the heading of animal abuse.

This is typical "progressive" behavior: if the facts have the temerity to disagree with your opinion, just ignore them and MAKE SOME SHIT UP. How about instead of feeding dogs a vegan diet, we instead solve two problems at once by feeding the vegans to the dogs.
