Reverting to Type

Cape Town will run out of water in 90 days.

South Africa has gone from one of the wealthiest nations in the world to a shithole in only a few years. They can't even maintain their own infrastructure. The entire country immediately starting reverting to the barbarism which is the rule in Africa when apartheid was lifted. Everyone who pointed out this would happen was shouted down as a racist. But...

"Facts are stubborn things; and whatever may be our wishes, our inclinations, or the dictates of our passions, they cannot alter the state of facts and evidence." - John Adams

Africa is a land of barbarism. It has always been so. Absent the leavening hand of external advanced civilizations, it will always be so. That's a fact, one backed up by millennia of history. Anything else is just hot air and noise.
