When Stars Collide
Sometime in the next five years, a binary pair in Cygnus will collide with each other. The collision will produce a nova visible to the naked eye, probably about as bright as Polaris.
Okay, technically they collided 1,800 years ago and we're just now seeing it, but there's no need to be pedantic about the matter.
