Friday Timewaster

Take the Scientific Literacy Quiz.

Stay away from that Google page. You have to pull the answers out of your noggin or you're a-cheatin'! Use a calculator for the conversions if you need it, but NO GOOGLING! Most of this is stuff you were taught either in high school or the core courses during your first year of college. Note that I did not say you necessarily learned it, but rather that you were taught about it.

I scored 80%, barely scraping by with a B. In my defense, however, nearly all of the questions I missed were about biology. I HATED biology classes with a passion which I have difficulty putting into words. The first class I ever failed in my life was a college biology course, primarily because I didn't bother to show up after the first couple weeks. I was just sleeping through the lectures anyway. The only area of biology that has ever interested me is reproduction, and I figured that out by conducting empirical research.
