The woman is made of Teflon. She could bite the heads off live bats on stage and PETA would still give her a pass. Nothing about emails or Benghazi has stuck yet. Dems will take anybody over a Republican.
I agree the left will vote for anyone before a Republican. Hell, I'm not particularly happy with the clown act that is the current GOP primary field. But she'll not be wriggling her way out of this one so easily, teflon or no. Those are serious criminal charges. The SI and TK acronyms refer to strategic intelligence and satellite data, probably photos. Leaking such info will put the average Joe in prison; at the very least, it will end her political career. She now has a choice between coming clean in front of Congress, in which case Trey Gowdy will eat her alive, or keeping her mouth shut and letting the FBI take her into federal court on criminal charges and possible sedition. Either way, she won't be getting the nomination for any position more important than dog catcher.
Which leaves Bernie Sanders and Joe Biden. What's the old saying? Be careful what you wish for...
I still believe Hilary is being allowed to be eliminated because the power behind the democratic party doesn't want her this time anymore than in 2008. I still expect Warren to suddenly be thrust upon us as the reluctant and humble candidate that will step up because she's here to help. She will be hailed as the savior that is here to stop the evil wall street crowd and make sure everyone can get a free indoctrination at the college of their choice.
It's possible, but I suspect the serious candidates on the Dem side are staying out of the race entirely. A general election coming off of a two-term ownership of the White House is a struggle for the incumbent party at the best of times -- and Obama is far from the best of times for the Dems. If the DNC are paying attention, they'll encourage the wackjobs and lefty fringers to run this time around and keep their powder dry for 2020.
The White House is the Republicans' to lose in 2016 -- something which they have proven themselves capable of doing. There are good, strong conservative candidates available, which is what the electorate is hungering for (as witness Trump's poll numbers when he speaks out on right wing issues), but the money people in the RNC are determined to shove Bush the Third down our throats. If they succeed, we'll most likely end up with someone like Sanders or Warren in office, as many people will simply refuse to vote for yet another Bush. If that happens, the GOP may cease to exist as an effective political entity, because there a lot of outraged conservatives out here who have had Just About Enough of their double-talking and shenanigans in Congress. Perhaps that would be for the best.
