Lieutenant Governor Patrick and Senate Republicans Take the Lead on Advancing Pro-Second Amendment Legislation in Austin
Gotta hand it to Dan Patrick; he's doing exactly what he said he'd do when he became Little Gov. Unlike career politicians and other lower forms of life, Patrick isn't afraid to use the bully power of the Lt. Governor's office to intimidate Democrats and attack them where they live. Where careerists like Boehner and McConnell will back down from a fight when it threatens their personal political futures, Patrick relishes going to the mat with Donks -- and he's proven himself quite accomplished at it.
The fact that he's inducing a collective coronary in totalitarian lefties across the entire country over this open carry/campus carry issue is just tasty icing on the big ol' Texas-sized cake of personal freedom. While I do not personally have any desire to walk around with a gun on my hip, an open carry law would go a long way towards running the anti-gunners and other hand-wringing girly-men right out of my beloved State of Texas. They seem to think it will turn the state into a warzone -- which a casual perusal of facts will prove to be the opposite of the truth. In any case, that outcome alone -- a reduced leftoid voter count -- will make it all worthwhile.
