Not a sweet confection

One of the walking cognitive failures which populate MSNBC made the following comment in reference to this whole Bergdahl deserter incident:

"Am I correct that the American right-wing has spent the day arguing we should have left an American soldier behind?" - Chris Hayes

Not at all, Chrissy-boy. It's an even stronger incentive to get him back to the States, so he can be tried before a general court-martial, convicted of desertion in war time, and summarily shot -- preferably on national television.

Also, if you haven't worn the uniform -- and I'm pretty damned certain you haven't -- shut your fucking mouth and just watch. What you have to say about deserters is of no relevance to the conversation, as you have no skin in the game. Literally.

If the man is innocent, he'll be set free to return to his family. But based on evidence like this, I seriously doubt it:

[It's] been Bergdahl’s former brothers in arms who’ve taken the lead in assailing the deal and hammering him, understandably so. The mounting evidence that he was a deserter, if not something worse...

It’s drawn the ire of Gold Star parents who lost a son in the search for Bergdahl, the details of which they allege were obscured by the military.

Hagel met with silence when he told troops in Bagram hangar: "This is a happy day. We got one of our own back."

Soldiers don't forget shitbirds, (I can name every one of them in my old units 25 years on), and this guy is shaping up to be an ostrich-sized one.
