Marginal Call

Serving as further proof that you don't have to be smart or even competent to get rich in America, Steve Ballmer has passed up Bill Gates as the single largest shareholder of Microsoft stock.

Sadly, imagination and intelligence seem to be the qualities least valued by big corporations. I suppose it's a defense mechanism generated by the seething masses of mentally substandard drones who constitute the main body of such organizations: bury the smart ones before they make everybody look bad, then promote the guys who punch their cards and don't question anything -- especially when the company is failing.
